PIERCE COUNTY CHAMPION: LAURA RUSSEL

Richard and Sandy's Boer Goat Farm donated USBGA Fullblood Registered Rogue Valley Dani to the winner of the Pierce County Fair 4-H Meat Goat Class, Laura Russel.  Laura is going to raise fine show animals, and will show Dani's offspring.

At Richard and Sandy's Boer Goat Farm, we believe it is important to support our youth and promote the Boer Goat Industry through the 4-H and FFA programs.  Our youth are our future!

Michelle Turk purchased the wether shown below from our farm to use as her 4-H Market Animal project.  Michelle took Grand Champion Market Animal and Grand Champion Fitting and Showing.

The Market Goat Auction Program at Kitsap County is a fairly new program.  Michelle sold her goat for $4.00 per pound plus add on's.  He weighed 92 pounds as sale.

The wether is out of our doe Tam Taebo's Doll and by Tommy.  He was born January 3, 2009.
Demitri did a great job of raising this market doeling as his Market Animal Project.  We purchased her at the Lewis County Fair Auction.

The doeling is extremely long, shows an excellent loin and won rate of gain at the show.  Demitri should be very proud of the job he did in preparing this animal for the show and we were very happy to purchase her.

This doe is now in a production herd at Clemmons Summitview Boers http://www.clemmonssummitviewboers.com where she will pass along those great production traits!

Thank you Demitri for selling us this beautiful doe.
