PIERCE COUNTY CHAMPION: LAURA RUSSEL

Richard and Sandy's Boer Goat Farm donated USBGA Fullblood Registered Rogue Valley Dani to the winner of the Pierce County Fair 4-H Meat Goat Class, Laura Russel.  Laura is going to raise fine show animals, and will show Dani's offspring.

At Richard and Sandy's Boer Goat Farm, we believe it is important to support our youth and promote the Boer Goat Industry through the 4-H and FFA programs.  Our youth are our future!
Sheridan Lantz purchased Gary from our farm to use as her 4-H Market Goat Project.  On August 20, 2009, Sheridan took Grand Champion Market Wether at the Thurston County Fair in Olympia, Washington.

Sheridan sold Gary at the Thurston County Market Sale for $13.00 per pound, plus ad on's!

Gary is out of our doe Tam Taebo's Doll and by Tommy.

Michelle Turk purchased the wether shown below from our farm to use as her 4-H Market Animal project.  Michelle took Grand Champion Market Animal and Grand Champion Fitting and Showing.

The Market Goat Auction Program at Kitsap County is a fairly new program.  Michelle sold her goat for $4.00 per pound plus add on's.  He weighed 92 pounds as sale.

The wether is out of our doe Tam Taebo's Doll and by Tommy.  He was born January 3, 2009.
Demitri did a great job of raising this market doeling as his Market Animal Project.  We purchased her at the Lewis County Fair Auction.

The doeling is extremely long, shows an excellent loin and won rate of gain at the show.  Demitri should be very proud of the job he did in preparing this animal for the show and we were very happy to purchase her.

This doe is now in a production herd at Clemmons Summitview Boers http://www.clemmonssummitviewboers.com where she will pass along those great production traits!

Thank you Demitri for selling us this beautiful doe.
Thank you Sheridan Lantz & best of luck in the shows this summer!

He is out of Tam Taebo's Doll and by Tommy.

He was born January 3, 2009 and weighed 9.5 pounds at birth.  At 62 days old he weighed 52.5 pounds for a daily rate of gain of 0.734 pounds per day.

TYSON TOOK
RESERVE CHAMPION
MARKET ANIMAL AT THE SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON FAIR IN AUGUST 2010
WITH HIS WEATHER FROM RICHARD AND SANDY'S BOER GOAT FARM.  Tyson is holding his certificate for an additional award from CBGA presented by at the fair by Sandy.
Meet Alle' Bol.  You will be seeing her at future shows.

Alle' showed RNSH Coaco's Angel at the Southwest Washington Fair in 2010.  At eight years old, she is already proving to be a strong competitor in the show ring!

Little Alle' loves animals and is incredibly good with the goats.  Adding to that, her first time in the ring she performed like a seasoned showman.

Out of twelve goats in the class, Alle' and RNSH Coaco's Angel took third, placing behind Richard with RNSH Tarzina and Sandy with RNSH Yakety Yak Don't Talk Back and in front of Justin Kramer with RNSH Meadow Tino.  Goats from Richard and Sandy's Boer Goat Farm took 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in the class.

Thurston County Fair FFA and 4-H Market classes were very competitive this year.  The animals were incredibly impressive and brought outstanding prices.

The kids worked hard and it showed in the quality of animals they produced and the prices they received at auction.
